Our Ministries
Sunday School
Each week we offer Bible study opportunities for all age groups beginning at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday morning. All adult classes participate in a combined opening assembly time on the first Sunday of each month.
Robin Class
The Robin Class was begun over 40 years ago as a special outreach ministry to mentally and physically challenged people in our community. Each week transportation is provided to bring the Robins to our church, where they have a time of fellowship, singing, Bible study, and Worship beginning at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday. The Robins also participate in a yearly retreat at the Eagle Eyrie Baptist Conference Center near Lynchburg, Virginia.
Music Ministries
Cradock Baptist Church’s music ministry offers two opportunities for sharing God’s gift of music. The Chancel Choir (for High School age and up) leads the congregation in song every Sunday (September through June) as well as providing Special Music. The Chancel Choir rehearses at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesdays. All with a love of music and a willingness to share their talents are welcome
Children's Activities
Sunday mornings offer times of spiritual enrichment for children ages birth through 6th grade. A variety of activities, including music, crafts and Bible study, are led by loving teachers. A Children's Moment is featured in the 11:00 a.m. Worship Service, and Children's Worship activities follow. Children in Kindergarten through Grade 6 are invited to participate in our TeamKID ministry on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. following the Fellowship Dinner. Special activities such as Vacation Bible School are also scheduled throughout the year.
Women on Mission
The Women on Mission lead the church in missions education, participate in the Migrant Workers' Ministry on the Eastern Shore each summer, support our local facility for abused women and children, visit the homebound members, support the Seafarer's Ministry, and participate in various events sponsored by the Portsmouth Baptist Association. They meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 10:30 a.m. for a program focusing on some aspect of missions, followed by a fellowship luncheon.
